I think one of my favorite things about the Muppets as a whole is the way that, unlike just about every other puppet show on TV, they manage to interact with human performers in a totally natural way. Even when Jim would appear on Johnny Carson with Kermit in hand, and we could see him working the body and providing the voice, it was so easy to see Kermit as a separate entity. Even today, when the Muppets show up on various talk shows, the hosts are obviously tickled pink to be working with Ms. Piggy, or Kermit, or Fozzie Bear.

For those of you keeping score, the Reds scored three runs against Pedro in the 1st, but the Mets managed to tie the game up in the 3rd.
Frances loves watching Sesame Street, so we see it a fair bit. Except for becoming more predictably repetitive, which makes it a bit dull for adults, it seems much the same show as before. There are many new characters, most of whom I don't care about, but my tendency is to chalk that up to the fact that my affection for the show is based on memories and nostalgia. Any character that doesn't ping that button doesn't interest me.

Oh, another thing about Sesame Street. It occurs to me on rewatch that Ernie may be lovable, but he has an evil streak.
