And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Thanks, Perkins. I think I could handle that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think so. The scenes were upsetting, especially the second one, but imuch more emotionally so than visually.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I was about to post the exact same thing, Perkin. You don't see much, but you definitely feel the impact.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

I see Michael Bay is remaking (or would it be re-envisioning?) Lost in Translation.

I think I would enjoy that version more.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I saw Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins. Very disarming and a terrific script--you think you know all about the characters from the beginning but layers are revealed throughout. It's funny and stylish and a perfect Christmas movie--for adults (it's about a burleque-type theatre in Wartime London, so lots of gorgeous naked women throughout).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister's looking for Brokeback Mountain online discussion. Narrowly headed her off at the imdb pass, trash-talked TT Ovies (for this particular flick), but have no actual suggestions -- where should she go?

Want to subject her to Ehrenstein's ranting over at WorldX? I thought the sane people were having some interesting discussions around him.
