And that Angelina Jolie's going to be in Beowulf. Crap. I was really looking forward to Beowulf but, while I kinda like Jolie, I don't think she's ever been in a good movie.

Um, the "Queen of Darkness," according to the article.
She could be Wealtheow (Hrothgar's wife) or Hygd (Hyglac's wife). Or, even better, if they act out Queen Modthryth's story, she'd be an excellent Queen Mod.

I think my fourth grade math teacher is not actually a character in Beowulf, although it would be funny to see her eaten by a thyrse.
I think Wealtheow and Hygd are probably not big enough roles for someone who can claim "tabloids smooshed my name!" This may end up being a very, very strange Beowulf.
Also, it's being made with the same kind of motion-capture animation that was used in Polar Express. I think I may be staying away from this one.
