I could go for a screwball comedy with Don Cheadle and Hilary Swank as the romantic leads, but even if genocide gets replaced with mass euthanasia I don't think there would be much funny to mine from it.
Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Isn't Million Dollar Hotel the Mel Gibson movie with all the U2 songs? I bought the soundtrack to that for my housemate (huge U2 fan) and then copied the best songs for myself. I really like "The Ground Beneath Her Feet" (title taken from the Salman Rushdie book, which... has nothing at all to do with the movie, IIRC). Also the Milla Jovovich song, but then again, I maybe have a little thing for Milla.
Guh:
The Time Warner empire will deploy its synergistic superpowers in May to offer fans of "Smallville" an extensive look at the summer movie "Batman Begins."
The WB will show an eight-minute preview of the film, which opens June 17, during the season finale of "Smallville" on Wednesday, May 18. The network and studio aren't calling the sneak a trailer; instead, it's a "special footage preview," which means viewers will see a "compilation of scenes" prepared for the episode rather than just what's been in theaters for the past few months.
Of course, this means I need to record Smallville. The tossers.
Did Johnny Depp reallly write that article in The Onion? Because if so, I am now so in love that I may faint.
A cross between Million Dollar Baby and Hotel Rwanda ?
Oh, written by Bono, directed by Wim Wenders, starring Mel Gibson and produced by the his production company. Gibson pretty much pissed on it after it was finished.
I've never been able to bring myself to see it.

I just assumed it was fake. It's the Onion.
Did Johnny Depp reallly write that article in The Onion?
No. Also, Sting didn't really write the article they once ran, "You Know, I Used To Be Cool Once."
The Onion AV club is straight up, but that doesn't seem to be AV.
AFAIK The Onion has never had a guest writer. They've also never published a letter to the editor.
But they do real stuff in the AV club, whcih is why I was wondering.
