Company is a good dance movie, too.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Thanks, guys! Frustratingly, netflix is disappointing me once again, by not having a copy of White Nights. I've seen all the others. Except for the Vera-Ellen stuff, which I'm going to go check out now, to see what's what.

I thought "Dear Frankie" was great, but I felt like it needed the final scene between the mom and son, where she explained things to him. I missed it, mostly because it felt like that was what the entire movie was building towards, and then it happened off camera. Gerard Butler was awesome, though. They were all awesome, actually.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't remember if Three Little Girls In Blue is the one with the dream sequence in Candy Land, but it's a good one anyway.

Darn it! That sounds cool, Jesse, but netflix hates me.

I loved Candy Land.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Allibelle, have you seen the movie Black Tights? That's an excellent, older dance film.

Compassionately intolerant

Alibelle, I can see the desire for that last missing scene...but then, it felt like a lot of stuff was left untidy: What was Marie's motivation? What, specifically, happened to Frankie and why doesn't he remember it? Just how long would the stranger be away...etc.

And I kind of liked it that way.

I really liked everyone's performances..."Gear-ulls love secrets, Frankie." That little girl (Jayd Johnson) won my heart.

And...well...Gerard. God help me, I love everything he's in. Even the 30 seconds in Mrs. Brown.

Apparently, the fella who played Ally...such a warm performance with no dialogue!...is in Batman Begins. Another reason to see it!

Hey. New board.

I quite enjoyed The Company. Very little happens in it, but it's gorgeous. Plus, Neve Campbell is pretty. So is James Franco.

Another social casualty...

Netflix has Fosse. It's not a movie; it's a recording of the stage show. The dancing is just so good.
