it's quite possible that my Gregory Hines love is large, large, large.
Mine, too. He's fantastic.
SUCH Gregory Hines love over here.
While it wasn't the best, nor least melodramatic film I've ever seen, I really liked his work in The Tic Code. Very much against type and very well done.
ION, I saw Dear Frankie yesterday. The Scots do sap so much better than the USians do. I really liked the sweetness with a hard edge and not having every little thing worked out on screen. Nice performances.
It joins A Slipping Down Life on my short list of little-tiny-movies-to-love. Number one on the list, at the moment, is Wilbur Wants To Kill Himself. Love, love, LOVED that one.
eta: seeing Fever Pitch Saturday. Not much of a baseball fan myself, but taking one for the team. Ah well. I like Drew's work in general, but I made the mistake of seeing Fallon in Taxi. Nearly inspired me to put an eye out. Blech.
"Red Shoes".
This is NOT the same thing as Red Shoe Diaries, which was a Showtime soft-core erotica movie/series.
which was a Showtime soft-core erotica movie/series.
Not just any Showtime soft-core erotica movie/series, but the one narrated by Fox Mulder.

And includes an episode with Tasha Yar as a cop who has an, ahem, encounter with her nightstick.
So I've heard...
Dude. I once saw Donnie Pfaster having sex on top of a convertible with some blonde in one of the Red Shoes Diaries episode. I guess the actor can be considered sorta attractive in an objective way, but I just couldn't buy it because I kept waiting for him to fixate on the woman's fingers and start calling her "girly girl".
t shudders
then the damn Red Sox went and won the World Series and the filmmakers had to go and change the ending. Heh.
Yup. And anyone who was watching the game has already seen the end of the film, since they were there live and in character. (And using the feed from the Fox cameras since they weren't allowed to bring their own.)

I liked that one. Then again, I like creeps.
Ooh, upcoming werewolf movie with Olivier Martinez!
Hopefully it will be better than the Underworld sequel I just read about. I saw the first one, and really have to wonder why they feel the need to make a sequel. Couldn't they just save money by screening a still picture of Kate Beckinsale in leather for 90 minutes?
I thought that
Underworld
was heavily influenced by the WB's version of
Birds of Prey.
