I liked Fred/Gunn, and pancake kisses didn't bother me even though I really think it should have been Gunn/Cordy. I loved the whole Pylea arc too.
'Never Leave Me'
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Hey, didn't Fred send her old professor through a portal to Pylea in revenge? As in, ethically-dubious, forget being the better person I'm going to get my revenge? Because if I'm remembering that correctly, then THAT was my favorite thing about Fred.
She really was going to do that. I liked that about her. I mean, bad moral decision but whatevs it was fabulous for her character.
I do love them dysfunctional, yes.
Wes/Bad Idea, yes. Wes and Lilah, Wes and Ilyria, Wes and Torture...
The ep where Angel rescues Billy from the hellfire prison was available OnDemand and I recently watched it. I do love Lilah. And totally loved early Skip. Bonus, hey, I forgot that Kal Penn was in an ep as well.
I really think it should have been Gunn/Cordy
Okay, apparently I don't think Cordelia deserves a sex life, because I have to say this has never occurred to me. I totally can't see it, even now. There's no there there, for me.
"Origin" is easily my favorite episode of all 5 seasons. (And it's the one that made me realize VK is a good actor.)
And "Home" is the episode I always remember that, during the watch-and-post, Tim (Minear, that is) was posting, and my cable blipped for about 30 seconds of the broadcast towards the end (when they're in the W&H lobby, and Lorne is saying he's going to take the job). I posted an anguished wail that my cable blipped and I missed a little part, and next thing I knew, Tim e-mailed me that chunk of the script. He's good people.
I think they could have done something with Cordy & Gunn based on "First Impressions," but the show never really did anything with that pseudo-meet cute vibe afterwards.
That's definitely something I'd need to see proven, since I didn't see them play out with much chemistry or potential beyond the platonic.
Wes and Lilah for the win. Speaking of dysfunctional . . .
"Keep the glasses on..."
since I didn't see them play out with much chemistry
But Cordy never had chemistry with anybody. Not sexual chemistry. Not with Angel, not with Wes, not with Groo, not with Gunn. She's the anti-Spike.
I think she had definite chemistry with Xander. I also liked her with the Groosalug.
I think she had definite chemistry with Xander.
You're right; that worked.
But maybe that's more on NB since he had good chemistry with Willow, Anya and Spike.
