I LOVE Pangs. I think it might be my favorite regular episode. I seriously laugh the whole time I am watching it. I particularly love the sad, sad music when Spike is hungry and begging at the door.
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
It's like ritual sacrafice. With pie.
Dude, "Pangs" is awesome.
Buffy: They’re gonna be mushy.
Willow: They won’t be mushy.
Giles: I like mushy peas.
Buffy: You’re the reason we have to have Pilgrims in the first place!
"You made a bear!"
"I didn't mean to."
"Undo it! Undo it!"
"This is in no way an elaborate scheme to stick me with the clean-up?"
"So this is Angel. He's large and glowery, isn't he?"
"I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?"
"Angel's here to protect Buffy."
"I haven't been evil for a long time!"
Anya: What's he like when he is evil?
Comments from Spoils:
Pangs is even worse than I remember it. What a godawful mess.
the dialogue is often really funny! But everything about the thanksgiving/indigenous peoples/genocide plot line is extra cringeworthy.
So yeah.
They are so totes interrogating the text from the wrong perspective. As if.
"So this is Angel. He's large and glowery, isn't he?"
Damn it, Angel was in "Dopplegangland." Anya may have been more focused on getting her Necklace of Evil back, but he was there!
Sorry. I am fueled by pedantry.
But everything about the thanksgiving/indigenous peoples/genocide plot line is extra cringeworthy.
And it's clear from the episode that the show is advocating genocide, AMIRITE?
t edit I'm glad I started watching BTVS before I knew I needed to be outraged about things.
