Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Joss who? Meet the writer of the new 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' film:

"The thing that was so wonderful about 'Buffy' is what made it special was so timeless," Anderson said. "The deep struggle she had with duty and destiny, that tug between what you're supposed to be doing and what you want to be doing. The fate of the world is on her shoulders, but some days she wakes up, and she just doesn’t want to do it. And are we doomed and destined to love someone? That conflict was very interesting to me. Those are the things I loved about her and her world. She also represents — like all the heroes — something empowering for us. She reminds us of what we could be if we were in our top form, the best of us if we were at our very best, and even then we still see the vulnerability and doubts she has inside. That's where we all connect."

I didn't realize the writer was a young woman. Who, according to IMDb, has had bit parts in movies but hasn't written anything before.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I like the way you think, Allyson!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Oh, hey, maybe it will be Juno/Buffy.

What the hell are they thinking? Or are they even thinking at all?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Really, the only good that can come from this is Tim writing just enough to get a credit and finally I won't cringe when I see him referred to as a Buffy writer. As foretold in every article ever.

What if it's really terrible and offensive? And we're Buffistas? And people get confused and think we're fans of the terrible offensive show?

We will have to be stern yet snarky on the interwebs. Oh noes.

Seriously! What if it's pro-slavery Buffy or something? We'll have to change our name to Angelistas.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, hey, maybe it will be Juno/Buffy.

IT WILL BE EXACTLY LIKE THIS: [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

When the possibility of this movie came up before I think I remember reading that they would have the rights to the movie characters but not the TV characters, is that right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have never wanted to procreate more than I do right now, just so I can say this:

I'm a goddamn baby-making, life taking MACHINE! Why should I care how many people I have to kill? I can just make MORE in my TUMMY!

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I think that's right, sj. So for all those Pike fans out there, their moment has finally arrived.
