(Hollywood Reporter) - British actor Anthony Stewart Head, formerly of WB series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," has landed the lead in "Him & Us," ABC's comedy pilot inspired by the life of Elton John.
The project revolves around an over-the-hill gay rock star and his relationship with his long-time manager and the rest of his colorful entourage.
Head, who played Rupert Giles on "Buffy," also co-starred in the HBO film "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself."

I read about that, this morning. ASH is just so much sexier than Elton. Every blessing Elton got was seemingly musical, where ASH is just...mmm--like Mmmm cookies kind of

For one thing, ASH is like a meter taller than Elton John, yes? And has no need for bad hairpieces. So except for the potential for "concept" costumes, there isn't much danger of the truly awful-looking. Dressing like a color-blind pimp, yes, but -- aren't you people fans of David Boreanaz?? You should be used to that.
