Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The Firefly cartoon is the only thing getting me through this!

Bottom line, I would rather not have a reboot at all than have an awful one.

Yeah, but I'm not sure I trust the judgement of Hulu executives to make that call. But, that's how the world works. Moving on!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I've enjoyed a lot of BtVS AU and cross-over fanfic on TTH and AO3. I have no problem with the idea of Buffy not being the main character. But if she's not, hen they shouldn't have planned to have Buffy in the title.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Finally actually read the article. I really wanted to see what this creative team was going to do with the reboot. I still can’t tell if I would have liked the result but I am disappointed not to find out. The mention that the pilot was reading too young seems weird.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm pretty disappointed. The actress they cast as the new Slayer was one of the leads from Skeleton Crew, that Star Wars show from last year, that was basically Goonies in space with Jude Law as Long John Silver. At any rate, she was quite good and I had some hopes.

Alan Sepinwall said she was really good in The Lowdown. I don’t know what that is but I trust his judgment for that

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

The Lowdown is the Ethan Hawke show where he's like a crime blogger and bookstore owner and cool with his daughter in a way that only works on TV and set in OKlahoma and I really do kind of like it but I'm still digging out from stuff from two years ago.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

S7 is about as messy as I remember. The narrative is caught between "introduce a bunch of new lore before we run out of time" and "let's get back to basics" AND "keep Spike relevant at all costs" in a way that makes for very lumpy repetitive storytelling even before we merge into the Speeches And Potentials roundabout.

AtS S4 has reached the point where Charisma Carpenter is VERY visibly pregnant, but Cordelia's pregnancy hasn't yet been revealed (she slept with Connor about three days ago in show time) so she's spending a lot of time wearing extremely billowy blouses or sitting down with a pile of blankets in her lap.

Yes. Did not like that aspect.
