Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

'Get It Done'

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I know this thread has been all Who all the time, but the new SGA and SG-1 seasons are coming up, and that means promotional photography. Get SG-1 here: [link] and SGA here: [link]

The SGA shots are rather nice, but the SG-1 cast has been airbrushed to within an inch of their lives. Argh. Still, leather jackets and jeans are never a bad look on these fine people.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Watched the Doctor Xmas special.

I'm almost all better now!

"We *know* who you are."

(not a spoilery quote but still not aired in the US)

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Dude. If Pete's a Time Lord, he has no excuse for not shopping-enabling you all these years. (Also, I want to talk to him about interfering with George W. Bush's conception, and no doubletalk about messing with the timeline, thanks.)

Sorry, I've already tried it once, so I can't go back again. Stoopid Master beat me to it and replaced a perfectly functional human child with a strange little goat-boy with eyes set too close together.

Might I suggest you find an alternate dimension? There are still a handful out there with humans in charge.

And here I was going to marvel at how realistic the painter made the fabric of their clothing look. Ah well, at least those photos make it much easier to buy Teal'c as an alien.

I'm so annoyed. They at least left the beard stubble and wrinkles on the SGA cast.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Nora, I did the same thing. I didn't expect that much of a real episode, but it so was. I think I'm going to adjust to the new guy just fine.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I just watched Hex.

Not as bad as I thought. but my expectations were low. and I am glad that Themla looks like she will appear as a regular. I liked her and was POed when she was killed off.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

But hey! If Pete's a Time Lord, this means I never have to worry about closet space again! Hel-looo Tardis!

Good lord. A Jeeves AU.

head explodes.

I was considering buying Hex last time I was in the UK, but dissing BtVS? Neither classy nor wise as a method of promoting a show that's pitched at that audience. Not unless your show is absolutely fanfuckingtastic. And even then, still not classy.

Looks like they won't be getting my money after all.

Doctor Who and Casanova, however...

Art Crawl!!!

Fay -- only watch Hex for free when you are in the mood to snark.

I base my comments on the first two hours only.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Hex's interpretation of taking the genre more seriously mainly consists of a lot of standing around with pretentious music in the background.
