That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm so annoyed. They at least left the beard stubble and wrinkles on the SGA cast.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Nora, I did the same thing. I didn't expect that much of a real episode, but it so was. I think I'm going to adjust to the new guy just fine.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I just watched Hex.

Not as bad as I thought. but my expectations were low. and I am glad that Themla looks like she will appear as a regular. I liked her and was POed when she was killed off.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

But hey! If Pete's a Time Lord, this means I never have to worry about closet space again! Hel-looo Tardis!

Good lord. A Jeeves AU.

head explodes.

I was considering buying Hex last time I was in the UK, but dissing BtVS? Neither classy nor wise as a method of promoting a show that's pitched at that audience. Not unless your show is absolutely fanfuckingtastic. And even then, still not classy.

Looks like they won't be getting my money after all.

Doctor Who and Casanova, however...

Art Crawl!!!

Fay -- only watch Hex for free when you are in the mood to snark.

I base my comments on the first two hours only.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Hex's interpretation of taking the genre more seriously mainly consists of a lot of standing around with pretentious music in the background.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I taped the first two hours of Hex. I watched about half an hour of it before setting my vcr to record stuff right over it. It just never caught me. The dialog isn't particularly interesting, the plot looks far too predictable—while they might have surprised me if I'd kept watching, I called something like five plot points in the half-hour I did watch, well before they happened. If I'm pre-writing the show in my head that much, there'd better be some actors I'm really hot for on the screen to distract me. Alas, there weren't.

Just wait till the second season of Hex. That's all I'm saying. It gets very surreal and the writers just seemed to make it up as they went along. Pure car crash TV viewing.

Wait, so it's set in a goth club?

Teal'c is wearing girly shoes. In camouflage, but definitely girly.
