Hex's interpretation of taking the genre more seriously mainly consists of a lot of standing around with pretentious music in the background.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I taped the first two hours of Hex. I watched about half an hour of it before setting my vcr to record stuff right over it. It just never caught me. The dialog isn't particularly interesting, the plot looks far too predictable—while they might have surprised me if I'd kept watching, I called something like five plot points in the half-hour I did watch, well before they happened. If I'm pre-writing the show in my head that much, there'd better be some actors I'm really hot for on the screen to distract me. Alas, there weren't.
Just wait till the second season of Hex. That's all I'm saying. It gets very surreal and the writers just seemed to make it up as they went along. Pure car crash TV viewing.

Wait, so it's set in a goth club?
Teal'c is wearing girly shoes. In camouflage, but definitely girly.
Those are exceedingly silly shoes. Although to be fair, he has been seen wearing silly clothes in the past (Affinity, anyone?). I think all those years of working for the Goa'uld warped his fashion sense.
I just watched Hex.
I was babysitting my neice on Saturday night and saw that it was on, but my brother doesn't get HBO, and I was sad that I missed it. Looks like someone was looking out for me.
Peter Davison was only 30 when he became the Doctor, making him the youngest actor. CE was 41, and DT is 35, so they're not deviating much at all.
