A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Philips? They're pretty huge. Who are on-brand for you? Aside from Sony, that is.

My previous player was a Sampo. That's some off brand right there.

If I only had a brain...

From a Highlander tchotchke page:

"HIGHLANDER: The Source" logo embroidery on front chest and across back. Features inside pocket detail, zip front and slash-style pockets

If they only knew. Pockets are the *least* of it.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

ita, Pioneer, Toshiba and Panasonic are what I'd consider the other majors. Not sure about Sylvania, RCA, Zenith and Magnavox, which used to be huge before the influx of Japanese electronics. Philips always had more of an audio/video geek cachet than the other majors to me.

My other player is a Norcent. I had two Cyberhomes--each lasted a year, and cost a total of $37 ($25 + $12 for extended service). I have a Presidian DVD recorder (from Radio Shack, made by LiteOn).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

There's a subset of fandom that adores those Norcent players. They make great con DVD players, because they're easily portable and they play approximately eight million formats.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting my Sanyo to play a lot of stuff -- mostly vid sets and home-burned dvds.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I love my Phillips DVD player, as mentioned, it plays just about everything. I forget how many toasters I earned with it and my Firefly SVCDs back in the day.

TVShowsOnDVD.com just reported that Doctor Who has been picked up by Sci-Fi and that the 2005 DVD set will be released at a date by which the series will have aired, July 4th, 2006. The BBC has changed its Doctor Who splash page just slightly.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

t Does the Happy Dance

March, huh? I can deal with that.

I guess I should start NetFlixing the old stuff. I know I don't need to, but I want to.

Just slightly! Was that Dolly Parton's voice?
