There's a subset of fandom that adores those Norcent players. They make great con DVD players, because they're easily portable and they play approximately eight million formats.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting my Sanyo to play a lot of stuff -- mostly vid sets and home-burned dvds.
I love my Phillips DVD player, as mentioned, it plays just about everything. I forget how many toasters I earned with it and my Firefly SVCDs back in the day.
TVShowsOnDVD.com just reported that Doctor Who has been picked up by Sci-Fi and that the 2005 DVD set will be released at a date by which the series will have aired, July 4th, 2006. The BBC has changed its Doctor Who splash page just slightly.
