A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Coming in late:
I sort of consider him a minor-league Gene Hackman -- not quite elevating everything he's in to good, but in a lot of things, a lot of which are good.
Thanks to MST3K, I am unable to see Gene Hackman in a movie without wanting to do a little golf clap and say, "oh, he's good in EVERYTHING!"
A long article on Michael Piller (head writer on ST:TNG and others) written by Ron Moore (writer on ST:TNG and other Trek shows; currently writer/exec producer for BSG). Talks about the process of pitching and breaking episodes for Michael, what it was to write/work for him, etc. The main theme is the tremendous respect that Michael had for writers.
Very interesting. [link]
Spoilers for SGA 2.12:
I thoroughly enjoyed
JF's performance... the sort of underlying petulance about their (perceived) slackeryness in sending him supplies, etc. It was both amusing and made me want to give him a hug and reassure him that they still loved him, poor noodle.
And...
MALP on a stick made me laugh and laugh and laugh. I had the same thought re: tagging it.
I agree, though,
that the story was kind of meh. It was like the Predator landed in The Village... and then they all killed him with their brains
.
Speaking of Star Trek ... [link]
Apparently they've even managed to get Walter Koenig to reprise his role as "Chekov" ... not sure how (or if) they've explained his extreme aging in the space of a "year" ;)
Well they do say
Special guest stars are Walter Koenig returning as Chekov (with a twist)
Extreme editing? Visitor from the future? through an android replica? There are all sorts of cheesy possibilities. Good cheese.
Delayed reaction from that ST:TOS episode where Kirk, McCoy and Spock all age rapidly from exposure to some radiation or something, but Chekov is unaffecected?
Anyone going to be watching
Hulk
on SciFi tonight? 9/8 central.
Hulk
I probably will. Here's a [link] to a trailer if anyone misremembers which version of the Hulk this is.
