I mean - damn. This is very, very slashy indeed. VERY slashy. "Are we breaking up, now?" And, my God, that whole conversation about whether House can handle the fact that Wilson is seeing this girl - my GOODNESS. I am still taken aback by how texty this is. To the point that I'm now trying to wrap my head around how it could be anything other than slashy, and actively seeking out the het interpretation.

...and I've got to say, I'm quite enjoying the House/Brunette stuff. Er. Not enough to have really remembered what her name is, mind. But I rather like their relationship, the way it's developed so far.

eta ... so in this episode of House, we have the girl who played Anne/Lily in BtVS/AtS and the guy who played the old wizard in Carnivale. ...and, wow, they still manage to fit in Jealous!House bitching about Wilson talking to girls! Wow.

I've just stumbled upon the LJ community stargate_eps. Quite handy, I like it better than Torrent.

Speaking of which, has anyone seen Wraithal Discrimination? It's a bonus feature on the S1 UK DVDs. Very funny. I like how everyone was saying they'd date a Wraith, but only DH felt like he had to qualify that by saying, "One of the females". Heh.

re: the latest eps, I thought they were ok, SGA was much more entertaining though, as it has been almost the entire season so far.

SG-1: It was cute at first, but even I started getting annoyed with Daniel for being so humorless self-righteous.

Vala's big!emotional!hairball - ehhh. I liked her better when she was cheerfully amoral, not all plucky-little-match girl.

Boring are the Bore-i. The very powerful villains who speak.. like.. this. zzzzz

Teal'c/CJ is so funny. I feel like he's just fulfilling some contractual obligation by appearing in as few scenes as possible. But I *still* laugh almost every time he says "indeed". I love how he makes it so full of expression and it sounds like he's being very wise, but really it's not that much content.

Overall, I still wonder where the show went. I barely recognize it now. But last year was kind of boring, so even though this season has been pretty random so far, I'd rather watch something new and amusing than familiar & boring. Of COURSE I still miss Jack. A lot. Not missing Sam as much tho, don't know why 'cause I do like her.

SGA - Nowhere near as fascinating as last week's ep, the actual plot and story of this one was mostly ho-hum - but it was totally worth watching for the shriek-with-laughter moments of pure slash, such as:

Rodney: "Some countries still do [execute prisoners]" Sheppard: (rolling eyes) "Do we have to get into *that* again?" - like they normally spend all day hanging out in bed at the coffeehouse debating the ethics of capital punishment

Also the bit right before that when Rodney said, "I prefer lethal injection. Although I do have a certain fondness for the electric chair," (glance at John) "call me romantic." And Shep smirked so hard I thought his face would fall off. I bet he'll make fun of Rodney for that - when they're getting all romantic on the blue "electric" chair back at Atlantis.

Ronan: "Is that an order - SIR?" Sheppard: "No, it's just something you shouldn't do. Unless you NEED it to be an order, then Yes, it is - okay?" (sexy glare of UST) Ronan: "Okay" (stoned surfer-boy stare of hot, smoldering resentment and UST)

Prison!Island!LeaderDude: "I know your type. You whine and complain about everything so much that when you finally achieve a miracle all your incredibly hard work really gets you a lot of credit." Rodney: "Well, that may be true sometimes but this time I really can't do it. You're asking me to achieve the impossible." Sheppard: "He'll fix it." Rodney: (something incredulous) Sheppard: "You really suck at lying." I loved the way he said that - as if he had other reasons to know so. (Fanfic writers, start your engines!)

When they cut to the scene with Shep et al. tied up by the prisoners I cackled so loudly I startled the cats and the bf - those restraints were absurd! There's no way that a) Ronan would ever let himself be taken alive, and b) those bonds would have held him for 2 seconds. They were the flimsiest-looking rawhide ropes EVER. Furthermore it was like the "team" were posed like dolls to best show off their hot little bodies. Not that I'm complaining about that, it was just really, really funny. I also loved the absurd leather cat-collars they wore as part of their "bondage" (pun very much intended). This whole episode was like one big gay in-joke!

( continues...) I will admit that the prisoner leader dude was kind of ok. His role TOTALLY should have been played by Bruce Campbell though. He had some great lines that would have been delivered so much better by BC. Loved his psychological deconstruction of McKay. When he said the part about "you whine a lot about everything" the bf looked at me and started cracking up - because that's me in a nutshell too.

John's faith in Rodney was so, so cute. He definitely wants to get in Ronan's pants but McKay is still his secret boyfriend.

Finally, the best part of all: the classic sandwiches exchanges. Loved it! How McKay threw in the part about the sandwiches like it was supposed to be so casual and off the cuff, yet we all know how much both of them truly, madly, deeply love sandwiches, and Shep's all "Hells yeah I want a sandwich - you, me and Ronan" and McKay's all "if I must, but you know I really like my men skinny and snarkalicious with pointy ears like a wee sarcastic elf".

Did not care for UnctuousMrOfficialGuy, although new speakingBoyWraith was mildly interesting. Liked how his beard-hairs were twitching like antennae when he talked. Weir and Teyla were more or less extraneous this week. Eh, c'est la vie. I'm enjoying the menfolk even more than usual so I don't mind so much.

Ronan: HOT. And So. Totally. Anti-Teal'c. He dresses, talks and acts like a grungy and slightly rebellious American teenager, I love it! I forgot another great moment: Ronan eating the prisoner's food and Rodney being all "ew" and the Goldilocks joke. But then he's tempted by the "porridge" after all. Classic Rodney. But anyhoo, love Ronan's hair, he's like a great big pretty lion boy. And am intrigued by how he seems to *crave* military-style discipline from Shep. They are SO having BSDM sex in the very near future. Of course, I wasn't one of those people who hated him before he came on, because I never liked Ford that much anyway. Heresy, I know.

Still not watching BSG, so no comments there.
