In the miniseries there's this lame explosion that is used to further the plot. In the commentary they explain how they didn't have the budget to do what they really wanted to do for that particular scene....
Wow, a marathon of KLG I, II, Scattered, and Valley of Darkness would be phenomenal. And, OK, a little relentless. But phenomenally so.

Fought. The first Cylon war was 40 years earlier. In one of the podcasts from S1 (I think it's "Tigh Me Up..."), Moore went the backstory they'd worked up for Tigh. During the first war he was in a similar situation, going hand-to-hand against Cylons on a ship they boarded.
