I swear, sometimes the Chief is the best thing about this show.

He killed me tonight.

Adore Billy and Dee. Was also a leetle worried about Billy there, for a sec.

And, hee, now I'm watching Mitchell sword fight a hologram. How much do I love Sci-fi Friday? So. Much.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Same here. I would not have been surprised if he'd been riddled with bullets.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

The Chief is definitely one of the best things about BSG.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Chief is definitely one of the best things about this show.
Also, the short chick (what is her name?) who works with him.

I don't know if he fought in it or just studied it....

Fought. The first Cylon war was 40 years earlier. In one of the podcasts from S1 (I think it's "Tigh Me Up..."), Moore went the backstory they'd worked up for Tigh. During the first war he was in a similar situation, going hand-to-hand against Cylons on a ship they boarded.

Shit, how the fuck'd he manage that? Did they have the claws back then? Was that part of the evolving or the rebelling?

The Cylons back then were actually the same as the Cylons from the 1978 tv series (we see them in a museum display on the Galactica in the miniseries (Galactica was slated to be decomissioned and turned into a museum when the attack happened. That's why the one flight pod isn't being used)).
