Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Alas, your link only takes me to a 404!

I needed to go to bed anyway.

[Edited to add, the fixed link works!]

Oh, Vonnie, that's hilarious. Kids crack me up.

Also, I would totally and completely accidentally probably maybe find myself in one or two of those bars by sheer coincidence and happenstance of the not-at-all-pre-planned variety. Perhaps. All I'd do is surreptitiously glance about anyway. If I were to end up in one of those places. Purely by chance.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Ha. Exactly. Complete coincidence. No planning involved whatsoever.

Well, Grace Park did say the one she made the Cylon Shooter in during the Special was her favorite bar in town or some such. I want a Cyclon Shooter. By which I mean a huge fucking projectile weapon strapped on top of a viper, but failing that, I can settle for the cocktail. Except... lychee juice? The hell? (I did like the cherry on top, like the red Cyclon eye. Aww.)

Suela, OH NOES about the Beast! t makes pathetic hugging motions with arms Poor baby!

I sooooo want there to be a flashback to the original creation of Cylons with the responsible scientist being played by Bai Ling.

Oh my lord. That's brilliant, so long as it's a dialogue-free flashback.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Oh, Vonnie, that's hilarious. Kids crack me up.

yeah. we did a similar thing in college after "Dead Again' We kept running up to each other and hissing "These . . . . are for you!" We even left scissors in each others' backpacks, taped to doors, etc. We wanted to suspend some scissors from the ceiling with some fishing line or something, but we were afraid some drunk guy would put an eye out.

the preceeding paragraph makes no sense unless you've seen the movie, so apologies if you haven't.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

WTF? It's 8pm! Where is SG1? It wasn't here yesterday at 8pm and I thought, well, maybe it's on every day except Mondays at 8pm.

But no.

Frakking She Spies.

She Spies!!!! I mean, I'm all yay for whatchamacallim, bloke who was in Angel and Buffy and Firefly's pilot episode. Yay for Whedon actors getting other gigs. But where the frigging hell is my SciFi fix? You bastards? Just as we were edging towards a dash of Rodney and John!!!!

t outraged

Doctor Weir not so much looking like the Doctor Weir from Atlantis in the episode last week, incidentally.

Thrive to spite them

For whatever reason they cast another actress as Weir. I'm not really thrilled with Atlantis Weir.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I finally read that NYT article on BSG, and I have to say, I do love:

''I just had such great respect for him up there,'' he told me. ''I realized I was no longer thinking as the idealist. I could respect somebody else's vision for something, even something I had fallen in love with.'' He said it was sort of like falling in love with another man's wife. ''Eventually you had to realize she's married. And not to me.''

coming from Richard Hatch, as he let go of his bulldogged vision of how to get BSG back onscreen, watching Ron Moore talk about what he was going to do.
