Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I finally read that NYT article on BSG, and I have to say, I do love:

''I just had such great respect for him up there,'' he told me. ''I realized I was no longer thinking as the idealist. I could respect somebody else's vision for something, even something I had fallen in love with.'' He said it was sort of like falling in love with another man's wife. ''Eventually you had to realize she's married. And not to me.''

coming from Richard Hatch, as he let go of his bulldogged vision of how to get BSG back onscreen, watching Ron Moore talk about what he was going to do.

It's a response I wrote on another website to someone talking about one of those Jumbotron kiss cams at an NHL game years ago. They showed several couples kissing, then cut to Jeremy Roenick and Mark Recchi sitting on the player's bench. Who then obliged.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, Vonnie, that's hilarious. Kids crack me up.

Heeeee. That's awesome. I loved those episodes.

Oh, also, I watch BSG now, so hi.

I would have loved to seen that.

They need to wire Roenick's jaw shut again.

Oh, and I wrote a giant LJ post about BSG, if people are interested. I watched the entire first season in 11.5 hours. It was fun. Things blew up.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, also, I watch BSG now, so hi.

Yay!

Amen. Too bad they didn't get around to that a month ago. [link]

"We're going to try to make it better for everybody, period, end of subject. And if you don't realize that, then don't come,'' said Roenick, who spoke at a charity golf event he played in over the weekend.

"We don't want you at the rink, we don't want you in the stadium, we don't want you to watch hockey,'' he said Saturday at the Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational in suburban Pittsburgh.

Note to whiny, spoiled millionares with monstrous senses of entitlement: if your wealth depends entirely upon the number of sports fans you're able to provide entertainment value to, best not to antagonize the few that haven't been alienated by your union's greed-motivated work stoppage.

I know! And then he claimed to be taken out of context and omigod! it's so unfair! Roenick of all people shouldn't be surprised that he's taken out of context.

There's been a lot of "oh noes! We lost a year's salary! It's so unfair!" Perspective is seriously needed.
