"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

(I actually own the CD because occasionally, it will still get stuck in my head.)

t coughs

Yeah, me too.

This is going to be another one of those days where I'm painfully bored while at work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't need the whole CD, but my krav mix just got a little longer (also with Kris Kross and Public Enemy).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The sun is bright. Don’t look at the sun or you will damage your eyes. Anything that focuses the sun will only make it more dangerous. The Solar Death Ray is dangerous. Don’t build one. I’m surprised I haven’t burnt or blinded myself yet. The fumes from molten plastic can’t be good either. Don't play with fire.

Lots of cool photos of the Solar Death Ray destroying things such as a rubber ducky, a Hootie and the Blowfish tape, a robot dog, etc.

Trust my rage

Re: Alias I'm with Laura and sumi regarding Nadia. IMO, Nadia is the Dawn of Alias.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Day 2 of the sinus headache from hell. It seems to be winning. Tomorrow I see a DR. and hopefully drugs will be forthcoming.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Laura -- perhaps she

Heh -- not really. (I just saw her in an Argentinian film a couple of weeks ago. She's got the same slightly worried but very pretty expression on her face the entire film. She's very pleasing to watch, but not a lot of range there.)

TAR, I'm quite happy with the back of the pack the way it is. I very much hope that the two teams in last place are the next to go, though I can't decide in what order. On the one hand, Ray's constant harping on how old people last week, and his badgering of Deena on the horse, really really pissed me off. But on the other hand, Gretchen's voice makes me want to chop off her head every time she speaks. Tough call.

Up with the sun

Re: TAR --

I agree that the Detour was lame. Ride around in a boat and look for one thing, or .... ride around in a boat and look for something else? What-EVAH. Also, this was the first time I was ever really happy to see a team I used to like eliminated. I would probably seem a lot like Patrick if I tried to go on TAR, so I get where he's coming from, but it still wasn't fun to watch. Finally, I'm wondering where the animosity towards Rob and Amber is coming from. I could believe a few people would dislike them right at the start because they won Survivor, but the universal hatred this far into the race suggests to me they aren't making any friends at the east/sleep mingles. (Even Jonathan wasn't actively hated by most of the other racers most of the time. Then again, he wasn't kicking their asses.)

At this point, I really like Uchenna and Joyce and Brian and Greg.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ack! BTDTBTTS. I'm sure you've already gone through the obvious, but when I get like that, antihistmine combined with ibuprofen does help some, at least until you get to the doctor. A lot of times the sinus headache ends up triggering a tension headache, so one or the other alone won't cut it. Anyway, feel better.

Also, NILLY!!!!!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

TAR: I'm good with the teams currently bringing up the rear going out (though Ron and Kelly could join them, too...) but what I want more than anything is for Jackass and Deana to go out before Gretchen and Meredith. G and M have annoyed me in the past, but nothing like the other couple did this time. I was even sorry to see Mom and Kid go, I wanted the other team to fail so badly.

I've gotta think that things at the pit-stops must be getting pretty unpleasant for Rob and Amber. As badly as the other teams are reacting to them during the race, it seems like their behavior off camera must be worse. And it looks like it might be starting to get to them. Rob didn't look on his game at all the first half of this ep, though they got back into it, and his "see you at the finish" remark didn't sound to me like his usual humorous poking.

Uchenna and Joyce and the Brothers are definitely my faves, besides R and A.
