"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

In public, anyway.

Trust my rage

I just pulled the very special CI chocolate cupcakes from the oven. They look so good. They are supposed to be for my class tonight, but I might have to try one just to make sure it's good enough.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Timelies,

Congrats to Raquel and DH!

As mentioned in F2F, didn't get much sleep last night even with help of NyQuil. Feeling very out of it right now, though my throat isn't hurting so much at the moment, thankfully. Also, at the other building because Joint Commission is doing an inspection of the hosptial, it's ridiculously hot over here.

I CONSTANTLY bump my appendages into walls because I'm walking and I don't realize that my hip/shoulder/hand is about to be in the same space as the doorframe/doorknob/etc.

This me. Mostly shoulders and elbows. I also have a bad habit of catching my work pager on doorframes and the like.

It used to be awful. I blanked out when I sparred. I wouldn't be able to take anything into the ring/roda that hadn't been ground into me at the level of reflex. I'd step in, step forward, and not remember anything until I was stepping out again. People would give me feedback, but to no end. Lost time, in parcels two minutes across.

I do close to the same thing. The time passes and I realize things are happening, but my brain doesn't record any of it. I actually overcame it for about 6 months before I got hurt but I blank out again now whenever I'm in a sparring situation. I think it's very similar to the physical training where the brain has to conditioned to function on a conscious level when things are happening at a speed normally handled by the subconscious.

I can't even.

I think there's more spitting though.

Wait, in baseball or ballet? How about crotch-scratching?

t camera's on me, I'm going for the nosepick, spit, rearrange cup trifecta. Degree of difficulty: 3.2

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This me. Mostly shoulders and elbows. I also have a bad habit of catching my work pager on doorframes and the like.

It must be noted that Kalshane is football player sized and not built to door-scale.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They are supposed to be for my class tonight, but I might have to try one just to make sure it's good enough.

It is your responsibility to make sure they aren't poison.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I might have to try one just to make sure it's good enough.

I think you have to do this. It would be irresponsible not to make absolutely certain you're providing a superior product.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I just can't fire that many cylinders at once, you know?

Nobody can at first go. Like anything, if you had lots and lots of training and practice, you'd be able to do it, and barely notice any cylinders firing.

I can't even.

This me. Mostly shoulders and elbows. I also have a bad habit of catching my work pager on doorframes and the like.

I have this weird thing where I catch the pockets of dress pants on the arms of work chairs or door handles. I don't get it either, but the pants-selling industry is happy.
