Tearing people in half in the land down under... Do we need sharks for that?
Actually, yes. Croc teeth aren't designed for tearing.

How are you doing? It's been forever since I posted with you (though I have been wondering how you're doing, from time to time).
Welcome Mallory James!
Hey ThreadKiller. LeePerkins had some issues with her subscribed threads after she changed her name.
Welcome Mallory James, and congrats to Raquel and DH.
Not being fond of kids is somewhat isolating as an adult, but it makes for an Emily Dickensian childhood.
One of my friends told me a story about her eight year old calling from camp one day with the horrifying realization that she had been stuck in a canoe with children.
Welcome Mallory James.
Welcome Mallory James!
I had a lot of trouble socially in high school. I remember getting some information about an early college program, and my guidance counselor mentioned that I could take the GED and go to college without finishing high school. I asked my parents, and they said no, and I didn't push it. I'm not really sure which was I would have done better. College with kids my age was definitely really important socially, but I'm not sure it balances out the bad aspects of high school.
I turned it down because most of the higher level colleges don't like the 3 year program. Which is, any kid that wants to, can graduate a year early if they take certain classes.
For some idiotic reason, I was convinced my Senior year would be worth all the b.s. For what I've seen.... not so worth it.
Yay Raquel and Mr. Raquel! Welcome, Mallory!
It's Spring Break in the Holt household! Yeah, not for me. #1 son is doing basketball camp at the HS this week daily from 8AM-4PM. #2 son chose the sleep in late and play around the house option.
The boys will have the option of doing HS in 3 years, but their sports interests would make it desirable to stay as seniors. Taking off for college at 16 or 17 will not lead to playing time. Academics and social age are two parts of the equation, but sports are a big deal to them too. (I'm trying so hard to understand this jock thing)
