That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

I always wonder how teachers who are parents manage to make it to Christmas time, without a nervous breakdown.

My mom used to threaten to. Or she'd make Dad take us on vacation without her. I think it helped that we were late elementary/middle school and a little more autonomous by the time she was teaching school full time.

The use of tense in that article is confusing to me. Is the plasma ball with the black hole in the middle (that is most likely of no threat to me) still in existence, or did it die its 1/10 million million billionth of a second death like all the other plasma balls with no balck hole? I read it twice. Maybe the third time is the charm. Heh. charm

Nope. Still confused.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, it confused me too.

Maybe a physicist is using it as a paperweight. (OK, the black hole's container would actually be what holds papers to his desk.)

Visilurking

Maybe he's using it as a bagless vacuum.

Romulan ships use black holes for propulsion, right?

Did someone check this guy for pointy ears and a bowl haircut?
