The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hope the appointments go well.

Yay for spring!

I did change my name, just today. I figure with the new job, being more anonymous again might be a good idea.

I'm doing well, but a little too busy.

Raquel, aren't you due any day now?

Yeah, it's not like you've got anything major on your plate right now. No job changes, no moving, nothing like that.

I'm desperately trying to get internet at home before I have the kid and can't get to an internet terminal. This has been a process of many many months, but I think I just made a breakthrough! One of the ISPs here has said that my number accepts DSL and they will install it, AND give me their current special offer of getting all my charges on ONE BILL (hey, pretty novel in Greece), they just need to know whether my phone line is PTSN or ISDN. So they need to see a phone bill.

Which made me realize I haven't actually received a phone bill here ever. 6 months.

Sometimes living here is like playing a text adventure game - every problem solved unlocks two new quests.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hey there.

I'm in tech for a high school show this week. The Frosh boy who is running the light board is quite the space creeper. I feel dirty.

Hi Plei! (eta: and Aurelia)

Hi Lee! (I'll start remembering to call you Perkins when you've moved and stuff.)

How goes packing? Have you considered looking on Craig's List for new home furnishings?

I keep looking at the Seattle one, but everyone here seems to buy and sell beige.

Hey Plei - pretty much. Officially like 2 weeks to go, but one of today's appointments is to check dilation etc and maybe get a more accurate due date. I would be happy to have it be sooner (except for the silliness of sharing a birthday with my own child).

How are you doing? You're coming up on the last stretch too, huh?

I've done some of my books, and my CDs. Not much else.

I haven't looked at Craig's list for furniture. I should do that.

I am going to mail you part B of the Princess's present this week, I hope.

Yep. My due date is 5 1/2 weeks away, but my provider is talking about closer to 3-5 weeks, depending on what my blood pressure does and how my NSTs look. (So far, the former is stable and the latter have been just fine.) Oh, yeah, and depending on how my cervix is coming along at that point.

I'd like to go to about 39 weeks, if at all possible. I'd like to avoid 37 weeks, as that would involve an amnio (to check for lung development).

You should! I bet the bay area CL has way better stuff than Seattle. (It's not a quality issue with the stuff on the Seattle list, it's an ugly issue. Sadly, that issue extends to our actual stores, so I'm probably doomed to never have nice things.)
