Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Hivemind question:

What time of year is the Milky Way generally visible in the northern hemisphere? My childhood memories say "summer", but I'm getting questioned on it (a writing thing), and it wouldn't be the first time memory failed someone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Susan, I don't think you have to accomplish anything today. I'm amazed you're awake at all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay! Jesse is not on drugs. Jesse is smart and wise and has exceedingly good taste.

Woo!

Really, I'm just cheesy. Next example: So, I was watching VH-1's "I Married Uncle Kracker" (see, I told you I was cheesy), and it cracked me up the way his wife talked about Bob -- "Oh yeah, he was extra busy then, working on his record and Bob's record..." Bob? Don't you mean KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID ROOOOOOOOOOOCK?!?!?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

All year. It runs right through Cassiopeia. (aka, the big W)

3 and 4 year olds are outside my office right now and one of them is all, "BLAH BLAH BLAH" and making faces to amuse himself. I might have to steal him.

I totally got a kid that age in trouble with his mom at my school's open house. We were making faces at each other, and he got busted! I felt bad.

I'm amazed you're awake at all.

Well, unless Annabel sleeps all day, I can't. And unless I'm sick with something worse than my current cold (because of course I'm coming down with Annabel's cold!) or much more sleep deprived than I am now, I have trouble sleeping in much past 9:00 or 10:00, napping, or falling asleep before 10:00 at night. It's like my body is programmed for wakefulness in that 12-hour window no matter what happened the night before.

Coding and Sleeping

My daughter loves making faces to crack up Leif. Leif thinks she's the funniest person in the world.
