Just talked to my parents. The scan they did on dad's heart this morning was inconclusive--no sign of clotting in the damaged portion, but that doesn't prove there wasn't a clot there before causing the problem. Also, they found a small spot on one of his lungs (he had lung cancer ~10 years ago), but because of the size and placement can't do a biopsy without surgery, and it sounded like they hadn't decided if/when to do that, since it'd involve taking him off some of the blood thinners he's on because of cardiac/TIA issues.

So, to sum up, we don't know anything. Argh.

I think we're waiting until this summer to start test-driving minivans. Depending on what DH's raise actually comes through as bring-home, we may also consider buying used.

We went with a used domestic with an extra warranty, to save a lot of money over a new one. I kinda wanted to get the Honda van, but even the used ones were pretty expensive. Now with the price of gas, and the third child option looking unlikely, I sort of wish we had gone with something smaller than a minivan. OTOH, we can go to Home Depot with the kids and still have tons of room for stuff.

We kind of need the mini-van with three kids, if I ever want to be able to bring another child anywhere, with us. Remember the good old days, when your mom could take as many kids as you could cram in the back, and way-back of the station wagon?

I felt guilty about buying an SUV last week - for about an hour. I totally love my new car (Honda Pilot).
