I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee, I'm right. Ignore Kat.

I am already getting rid of my tape player, and I don't want to go too crazy, do I?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Went shopping to get a much needed bra and pants. Victoria's Secret no longer carries my size, but I can get it online, says them. I said fuck that and got myself a Bali. In pink.

Also got some lovely new trousers for work, and some new jeans that I think make my ass look reasonably unhuge. Oddly, they're cropped low-rise, which means they fit just right for my short waisted, stubby legged bod.

And some new pretty flip flops with sparkly charms on them.

I had no money for this, and will be living on ramen noodles for a month, but damnit, i needed clothes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Whoa. I've been married longer than you. That seems wrong somehow.

See what I mean? Many people have been married longer than I have.

Burrell -- weird -- it seems like you and the DH have been married for the longest time (in a good way, natch). How long did you date beforehand?

Um, let's see... we've been together 9 years, all told. I remember he once told me pretty early on--I think we'd been seeing each other for about 3 months--that, one way or another, I was going to be a part of his life for the rest of his life.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

collapses into puddle of Burrell/DH shippiness

Hec and I are home, and he's curled up on the couch picking through the Tivo's recent acquisitions. He's all achy from heaving so vigorously and frequently. Lee was the kindest host ever, and we both owe her approximately 50 umptillion hours of moving-in-and-unpacking assistance.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Tiimelies! The all-day headache that waxed and waned on me yesterday has mysteriously vanished, and my car melted out of the block of ice it was encased in, too. Alas, I've got a full work-week ahead of me, but aside from that, life is looking up!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Timelies!

It's all sunny and nice here. Yestday it was 87, but it's gonna be cool (upper 60s) the whole time we're here.

Have kolaches been discussed? Because they are a nummy breakfast treat.

I don't even know what kolaches are, so I'll have to take their breakfastly numminess on faith. I did have a kick-ass English muffin, though, and used up my last packet of Kashi Instant Oatmeal. There will be grocery shopping in my near-future....

Kolaches are sorta like donuts, with egg, meat and/or cheese (or a variety of other things) as filling. They might be a Texas thing.
