What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

Art Crawl!!!

I'm watching Monarch of the Glen for the first time in months and months and months and it's so completely different. Just Whoa!

Also, Tom Baker is barely recognizable.

I'm getting the pig!

I miss the mixed tape days. Mix cds are just too, I don't know... easy?

Tip of the day: Before you drive to the grocery store, check to make sure that your wallet is in your purse.

I'm just glad I didn't shop first and *then* find out my wallet was at home.

Yeah, I admit that as I was making the CD, something like, "Kids today just don't know how easy they've go it," ran through my head. And I don't even have an iPod. Yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, who here knows this Aviva Briefel who's on the Bravo horror movie countdown thing? There's got to be someone. She's a young academic, into horror. They call her "author, critic," but she's a professor at Bodoin.

Kathy, you could always try alleviating your cat's boredom by getting her a kitten.... t /evil And you aren't a bad kitty mom. It just sounds like A is a high attention cat. Some are like that.

Today, I attended the b-day for the one year old, chased the 2.5 year old around, ran intereference with the 4.5 year old (total terrors today,) flew the other 1.5 year old around, laughed at the other 2.5 year old trying to not share the cat toys with the cats, ate pizza which I already regret, got my tax forms, got dye, got quarters, did taxes (yay money! except I have to go back over to double check the state owes me $70 and not vice versa. It's a thing I have problems with) and am working on 3 loads of laundry. Then I have to put it all away, make the bed and futon up and maybe dye my hair tonight.

I'm tired.

I have to clean and get groceries and hopefully do some shopping tomorrow.

Get thee away from me, temptress! Actually, I was seriously considering it on Thursday, when one of my co-workers came over and told me about a cute boy-kitty that her husband rescued from the street (one of those "he just came over and weaved around my ankles, meowing pitifully!" stories). They took him into the vet, had the shots done, chip installed, checked him for neutering (he was) and declawing (front ones done), and he was about two years old and the vet thought he had been on the streets for no more than a month. One of the hubby's buddies decided to give his cat a companion, but said cat didn't appreciate the new housemate and roughed the boykitty up some. At this point of the story, I was definitely considering saying, "Is he available for adoption?" but found out that an ex-co-worker had recently lost her cat to old age and was looking for another one.

I don't know how Amarna would have handled a flatmate, anyway.

It can be a crapshoot. Devi had such an attitude, I was pretty sure she wouldn't be welcoming of an adult cat. I was right! However, I'm pretty sure Mister Kitty would like whoever (he still tries to make nice to Dev.) So someday, I will get them a kitten. But not in this apartment. I don't have room for any more litterboxes. Or cats.

Time to go rescue the last load. Then maybe hair.
