Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

La la la. I am at work because it is much more preferable to be here than it is to be working on my sculpture in ceramics. I hate my sculpture. It is supposed to look like the student as a famous person or character or something. I'm doing myself as Queen Elizabeth, but I'm using a picture from when she was a young princess, since I didn't feel like making the ruff (sp?). It sucks. Well, it actually looks pretty awesome from just below the breasts to the top of the neck. After that it sucks. Stupid ceramic face.

I just made myself cranky again, thinking about it. Now I want a nap.

At least I get to go to dance class in an hour and ten minutes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why am I not surprised?

It'd be more like Bush to name a flat-earther....

Trust my rage

One of the possible jobs is in Spokane, WA.

IME, Spokane is more like living in the West than the PNW. It's high, dry, and pretty sunny.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Isn't Katie in the general Spokane area?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

This weekend I will do some cleaning, a little laundry, possibly trim and color my hair, continue fighting with the print heads on my computer, get cues written in my Midsummer book and clean up my paperwork, prep The Cay to move to a new space, finish focusing Midsummer and write cues, and strike rentals and practicals from Vincent.

Hmmmm. Sounds like Durham with extra hills. Still, I like many aspects of Durham (July and August weather not being among them). So, good to know. Thanks!

Other job possibilities are in Tacoma, WA; Portland, OR; Toronto and various other parts of Ontario; and Victoria, BC. We'll see if anything comes of them.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Anyone have any suggestions for unusual gifts? Mom's getting married. I can't do any weekends away/other plans which require scheduling and time, as my mother's a) workaholic and b) a homebody. Oh, and also I'm kind of broke, but, you know. Other than that.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Allyson made me laugh so hard I almost dropped my laptop on the floor.
