This weekend I will do some cleaning, a little laundry, possibly trim and color my hair, continue fighting with the print heads on my computer, get cues written in my Midsummer book and clean up my paperwork, prep The Cay to move to a new space, finish focusing Midsummer and write cues, and strike rentals and practicals from Vincent.

Spokane is more like living in the West than the PNW. It's high, dry, and pretty sunny.
Hmmmm. Sounds like Durham with extra hills. Still, I like many aspects of Durham (July and August weather not being among them). So, good to know. Thanks!
Other job possibilities are in Tacoma, WA; Portland, OR; Toronto and various other parts of Ontario; and Victoria, BC. We'll see if anything comes of them.
Anyone have any suggestions for unusual gifts? Mom's getting married. I can't do any weekends away/other plans which require scheduling and time, as my mother's a) workaholic and b) a homebody. Oh, and also I'm kind of broke, but, you know. Other than that.

Allyson made me laugh so hard I almost dropped my laptop on the floor.
Calli, Spokane is also in the Very Very Red half of the state.
I think Katie is closer to Yakima than Spokane, but she's still in the Eastern Washington side.
Isn't Katie in the general Spokane area?
I'm in central Washington, Spokane's all the way on the eastern border. But we're both in Eastern Washington, so there are similarities. I've only been there a few times, so I can't really say what it's like to live there, other than that it's a fairly culturally conservative area. Pretty country, though, and a nice (if not terribly big) downtown. Four seasons (hot and dry in the summer--expect 90s).
Stephanie's right--it's the West, not the Northwest, in a lot of ways. It's probably got more in common with, say, Denver, than it does with Seattle.
Wait, didn't NoiseDesign live in Spokane for a while? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I think he did his undergraduate work there.
Huh. I seem to be watching Macho Men on Ice.
