There will be no lake mucking today because, while it is sunny and the birds are singing, it is fucking cold.

Yeesh, ita's on the west coast, crack o' dawn patrol too?
I could've been posting at 4am Eastern, but chose to stare at the ceiling instead.
The work load is a vast mix of dreary, mind-numbing scut work, complicated shit that I have to figure out, and complex thinkative things.
Huh. This is like my average day. No wonder why I hate mornings with the fiery passion of a super volcano.
complex thinkative things.
Perhaps your brain requires embiggening.

I figured it was because the muck was frozen solid...
I'm thinking I'll get enough sleep sometime on Sunday. If I'm lucky.
I've skipped lots of hundreds of posts, to one which describes me exactly, if you substitue "Sunday" by "Saturday".
My roommate got married last night. I am so tired my fingers feel heavy when I type and I will probably be horrified when I look back and remember the lesson I just TAed. But it was so so very worth it.
[Edit: 5+5=3+7, oh, and sorry to be so cheerful over all of you. I'll try to at least gloom up my font or something.]
But it was so so very worth it.
Nilly! Hi! t waves across ocean What was the wedding like?
I do not steal perk.
I may have stolen good sleep last night, but not more than 7 hours, I swear.
What was the wedding like?
Oh, it was great. She was beautiful and glowing, the groom was in a stream of well wishes for everybody around him, and I don't care how much of a sap I am, I had tears in my eyes on a couple of times when I caught them looking at each other with that look. Me and my other 2 roommates were back home by something like 2:30am. I still have in my head the song they played when she walked to the khuppa.
I think you'd be more interested (and I would be only slightly less sappy) in the ceremony that took place on the former day (it doesn't have to be a day before. In fact, usually it's up to a week before the wedding itself) - the henna ceremony. It exists in many Jewish communities that immigrated from north-Africa. The bride and groom were dressed in original Morrocan clothes (the bride's family immigrated from there), there was Morrocan music, lots of dancing, the bride changed clothes a couple of times, and then the ceremony itself - some henna was put on the left palms of the bride and the groom (along with everyone from the guests who wanted it - my left palm still has a big orange-brown stain on it, and probably will for the next week or so). It's supposed to be a good-luck thing for the new couple, but I guess most people do it nowadays for the fun, because it's so very happy, and a bit more private than the actual wedding. Oh, and the cookies.

Yay! Congrats to her. I'm very impressed you are up and teaching today.
Morning! I may be perky myself, since it is so bright and sunshiny out, and I don't have to go outside for a while yet.
I don't know that I do perky. And if I do, be suspicious.
I know I don't do perky. If you see perky from me, suspect large pods from outer space.
