The Cincinnati branch is my mom's family, and the San Fransisco "branch" is my uncle. Apparently there are also some in Toronto. Neat!
Jess, that's pretty cool! My dad was in email contact for a while with a professor K back in Hungary (where the K side of my family comes from).
Oh, also, for non-East Coast people: There's a fun show about a medical examiner on TLC tonight. FYI. If you think that kind of thing is fun.
Edit: OK, the current piece, combined with the Nip/Tuck I saw last night compells me to beg you all: If you can't afford an actual doctor in an actual medical facility,

Robin it says here you are forbidden to have plastic surgery anyway as you are (and I quote): "Already perfect in every particular."
We got one of those in the actual mail at work one day, which seems pretty dumb, since going through the PO makes it a huge crime
I reported the one I got to the FBI. It was a fun call. I was all, "um, maybe I watch too much teevee, but mail fraud is a Federal Offense, right?"

TDS: Lewis Black just killed me.
Anyone have any miracle burn treatment tips? I got a bad steam burn on my finger cooking dinner and I can't make it stop hurting. I ran it under cold water first, then tried that wound ointment stuff with the pain killer in it - no dice. Then I had it soaking in a baking soda paste for a long time, which works for a little while and then stops. Then I went to the store and got solarcaine, which is doing nothing.
It's not blistering, or even very red or swollen, but it hurts like a mo-fo.

Try morphine, that's good for pain.
Uh...I'd wrap it tight with a bandaid and try a double vodka tonic, chased with three Motrin. That's my best advice short of actual narcotics.
I just hold an ice cube to a small burn like that.
