Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

Up with the sun

I don't see it as slashy, but it is Southern good manners to let the older person have the bed, isn't it? Also very nice of Clinton -- He could have totally thrown an "I'm the ex-president and recovering from heart surgery, find me a freaking bed!" fit, but he didn't.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Sounds like the work of some supervillain.

Or a freshman.

What is even happening?

Does the slash write itself?

Stop that!

Yes. I am evil too, because a teeny bit of me is hoping that a teeny bit of Bill was able to feel superior about this in some way, be it an alpha male way, or a youth v. age way (and I'm almost always on the side of the aged), or something.

Does the slash write itself?

No, but it does make the baby Jesus cry.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I watch it, but I think it's way too formulaic to be all that brilliant.

Word is that the producers are aware of it and fixing it. I live in hope.

And yeah, the show itself, as a whole, isn't quite at brilliant yet, but Hugh Laurie certainly is, and they're earning my trust with every episode that they don't soften up on House's assholishness.

Hey, Dana. Not only has RPS been requested, but people are repeatedly asking for Battlestar Galactica. I think fandom has been eating paint chips.

If I only had a brain...

I think fandom has been eating paint chips.

Yup. But it was ever thus.

What is even happening?

Did we run out of monkey crack?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I saw the first use of "Bored Now" in Buffy on Saturday! It was fun!

My Mom has started using this phrase, thanks to her own Buffy-watching. It makes me laugh every single time she says it, b/c it's so incongruous.

Did we run out of monkey crack?

The monkey crack is ever plentiful. But sometimes people stop smoking the monkey crack to nibble on lead-based paint. Doesn't everyone like a little variety in their WTF?
