Also, the reason I came into Natter: after Iron Chef America (all about scallops Allyson!) -- there is a PIE competition on.

I had some pistachio nuts and tofu and then half a pint of Karmel Karma for my dinner.
then I took out the trash. It was a little breezy and warm. I sat down at the computer and boom! lightning, thunder and raining buckets! One minute later and I would have been soaked, and possibly struck by lightning!
The food I miss most from home is seafood. Everything here seems to be hauled in frozen from somewhere else. Though, I have to say, the crab legs here are AMAZING. When I can afford to splurge on them, I steam them and melt some butter and am a happy happy gurl.
Now that I think about it, I used fat free cream and light butter in the potatoes, light butter with the scallops, and light whipped cream on the strawberries, so it wasn't the huge calorie fest I think it was.

That just seems bizarre to me. Isn't LA next to an ocean?
Monk has been OCD at *least* since he was in high school. What fucking power does Sharon-lite have that she can soften the effects of the OCD? I mean damn.
Yes, but it was milder before Trudy died. Her murder threw it into overdrive. In the flashbacks he was OCD, but he had it within himself to control it somewhat and function within the police force.
I almost got goose intestines for dinner, but then I wasn't sure about the vegetables that came with it. So I chickened out and got the calamari.

You can't really swim in the ocean, here. Not without mutating into Kevin Costner's character from Waterworld. So eating stuff from it seems like a bad idea.
Daniel,
true enough, but Trudy has been dead for what...six years? He literally has been improving leaps and bounds over the first season. What changed? Oh, bad writing.
And yes, I 100% agree with your sumi. The premise for this week's ep was fucking ridiculous. It wasn't that many months ago that he couldn't live one weekend without Sharona.

Ah. That's a good point. Although, would gills behind the ears really be that bad?
the set-up of this week's show -- there is no way that he would have been made temporary guardian of that little boy
I totally agree with this.
