There's a little crossover something though, isn't there?
Generally, very little.
It happened to Fay? That's just wronger than wrong. I have seen her post opinions on some of the more controversial issues involved in fan fic, but she's just so lovely, and YissuesMV. *sigh*
She accidentally stepped in the middle of some wank.
Despite what you said above, do you think some people might try to get on f_w?
Nope, not really. Maybe in the early days, but now? Nope. You will see jokes from some people when they make it on there, about "Damn, I'm a real fan now!" and such, but that's about it.
Jewelry or cutlery?
Jewellery. I think it's typing's fault, really. When I wrote consistently, my hands didn't cramp as much when I did stuff like this.
You're going to tell me not to soak jewellery, aren't you?
Congratulations, Rio!

Between f_w, the actual journal entries of people cited there, and that frienditto thing, I've read so much this morning, I'm probably conflating lj entries with f_w entries.
He took me up there last night and got down on one knee and said things that made me cry and then gave me the most beautiful ring in the whole entire world.
So we're, like, "officially" engaged now. This probably isn't big news to anyone but me, but give me a break! I rarely post in this thread! Meanies.
YAY! All the best to you both, RIO!
Gronk.
Why must telemarketers call (someone on the do not call list, no less) at 9:30 on a Saturday morning? Especially after one was out late at a poker game the night before? Ugh. After 45 minutes of lying in bed I gave up on the pretense of being able to fall back to sleep.
Oh, hey, congrats to Rio!
Editing to avoid a triple serial: Note to self, do not set your glasses down on your rumpled bedspread while you rub you eyes as you are blind as a bat without them and you don't need to spend a minute fumbling about trying to recover them. Yeesh.
Rio, tell me about the most beautiful ring in the whole entire world, please.
Yay, Rio!
You're going to tell me not to soak jewellery, aren't you?
Nah. I've done it when I've managed to get bleach on sterling, which you can't polish off with paste for shit. Just dropped it in the soaker and left it for a day or two. I mean, I use paste because the soak stuff smells like ass, and most of my sterling has gemstones that I'm a little nervous about soaking. (I find that those foundation sponges are the best things ever for polishing silver.)
If it was cutlery, I'd have suggested that deep aluminium pan + baking soda (I think--it might just be salt) + boiling water method. Which reminds me, I need to find a deep aluminium pan.
