Well, most of us in Bureacracy are friends, and even when that's not the case there's a fair amount of pressure to play nicely. Those sort of governors don't seem to exist in the wider fic-writing fandom. I'm amused that I got in pretty much on the ground floor on this one, rather than finding out about stuff months after the fact. And I don't even write fic!

I have never really had a conversation with any of these folks, but have read their commentary from time to time, and some of the names of people (who seem not to be getting along at all) are all filed together in my head as part of the same crowd.

Oh, ages ago. They probably have a history of F_W up there somewhere. Buffy fandom makes it there from time to time, though I think much of the early stuff was Smallville and Harry Potter. Now it's mainly weird little fandoms I've never heard of. Bear in mind that the people linked to on F_W have nothing do do with F_W. F_W posters just link wars when and where they see 'em. People don't try to get on F_W, it just happens. It even happened to Fay once, bless.
