The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Poor Cindy. I hope you can get some uncurdled cream soon.

I still want other people to entertain me though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hell, this round is making our worst discussions in B'crazy look friendly.

Well, most of us in Bureacracy are friends, and even when that's not the case there's a fair amount of pressure to play nicely. Those sort of governors don't seem to exist in the wider fic-writing fandom. I'm amused that I got in pretty much on the ground floor on this one, rather than finding out about stuff months after the fact. And I don't even write fic!

Doing a photomanip of Gunn wearing golf clothes and eating a Wonderbread sandwich with mayonaisse would really be throwing kerosine on the flames, wouldn't it? he said innocently...

Snerk. What a scary thought.

As usual, of course, this isn't actually ABOUT what it's about on the surface. A year ago or so, all these people were getting along.

Then, during a period where I was busy and skipping a lot of shit, something must have happened. I remain baffled.

What is even happening?

Matt, do not make me love you any more than I already do.

I think that's part of what got me interested despite myself, Plei. I have never really had a conversation with any of these folks, but have read their commentary from time to time, and some of the names of people (who seem not to be getting along at all) are all filed together in my head as part of the same crowd.

When did the fandom_wank community start up? Was the Buffyverse a focus of it early on?

Oh, ages ago. They probably have a history of F_W up there somewhere. Buffy fandom makes it there from time to time, though I think much of the early stuff was Smallville and Harry Potter. Now it's mainly weird little fandoms I've never heard of. Bear in mind that the people linked to on F_W have nothing do do with F_W. F_W posters just link wars when and where they see 'em. People don't try to get on F_W, it just happens. It even happened to Fay once, bless.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It even happened to Fay once, bless.

That was fun.

Next time I have to polish silver, can y'all remind me to get the soak kind, not the paste kind what gives cramps?

Ta.

Lee, you can have my boxes, sure.

Yeah. It is sort of refreshing that unless a certain entry is specifically linked, I have had to hunt down the Mutant Enemy related wanks.

There's a little crossover something though, isn't there?

It happened to Fay? That's just wronger than wrong. I have seen her post opinions on some of the more controversial issues involved in fan fic, but she's just so lovely, and YissuesMV. *sigh*

Despite what you said above, do you think some people might try to get on f_w?
