It's possibly just 20/20 hindsight, but man, Jerry Orbach does not look good.
I was just coming here to say that. God.
Hee. He just gave a plug to Tivo.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Cashmere, have you tried www.edmonds.com? They do price estimates specific to zip codes, and are a good place to start when it comes to bargaining prep.
They came up on a google. I'll give it a try.
Beautiful! I bet the house fire seasoned it nicely.
You know it.
OK, this might be a little over-the-top, comparison-wise, but: Leaving aside his actual positions, I've long been impressed with the Pope for not stepping down, and showing that just because you're old and sick doesn't make you useless. It's not like much of his job is physical in anyway, so good for him for sticking it out.
Want to go out with my boots on like Orbach.(Not anytime soon) Just be on book twenty or something, type The End, and well, then it is.
but I long ago decided no food goodie in the world is worth cleaning a broiler for.
That's why god invented foil.
Honestly, it's almost as if none of you have the exact same cooking habits that I do. What's with that?
mmm... lamb peas carrots...mmm...
Gah. Can someone tell me what happened in the last ten minutes or so (or at least the end) of the new L&O? The dog just leaned on the power cord to the Tivo.
I woke up late this morning to a tv review/obit for Jerry Orbach. Weird dreams. But he didn't look nearly as bad as I had expected based on the review. Of course, been through a few terminal cancer cases of the really debilitating type, so maybe that's it.
A friend's comfort food was mashed potatoes with peas, sour cream, cream, bacon and butter and pepper. The peas were warmed in grease. Preferably bacon. Totally kill you food, but oh my god. It was so good.
My microwave gets used daily. The toaster maybe once or twice a month. Toaster oven less than that. My electric mixer once, maybe twice a year. Beyond that I don't really have any gadgets/appliances. I am thinking about getting a crockpot, though, with new-found desire to cook occaisionally.
I use the toaster oven constantly, but I don't have a separate toaster, and I LOVE TOAST. I'm not that big on untoasted bread, unless it's really good bread. I also use it for miscellaneous baking and broiling of small things.
