If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Gah. Can someone tell me what happened in the last ten minutes or so (or at least the end) of the new L&O? The dog just leaned on the power cord to the Tivo.

I woke up late this morning to a tv review/obit for Jerry Orbach. Weird dreams. But he didn't look nearly as bad as I had expected based on the review. Of course, been through a few terminal cancer cases of the really debilitating type, so maybe that's it.

A friend's comfort food was mashed potatoes with peas, sour cream, cream, bacon and butter and pepper. The peas were warmed in grease. Preferably bacon. Totally kill you food, but oh my god. It was so good.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

My microwave gets used daily. The toaster maybe once or twice a month. Toaster oven less than that. My electric mixer once, maybe twice a year. Beyond that I don't really have any gadgets/appliances. I am thinking about getting a crockpot, though, with new-found desire to cook occaisionally.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I use the toaster oven constantly, but I don't have a separate toaster, and I LOVE TOAST. I'm not that big on untoasted bread, unless it's really good bread. I also use it for miscellaneous baking and broiling of small things.

The toaster over pretty much only gets used to reheat takeout that comes in foil containers and can't be microwaved. Though the last use was to make toasted garlic bread when I made spaghetti a few weeks ago. But since it was hand-me-down from my sister, I don't really feel like it's a waste to rarely use it.

Love the toaster. Adore the KitchenAid mixer. use the food processer regularly. Ditto the handmixer. Love the ricepot and the crockpot. The only one we don't use often is the ice cream maker. But I like having it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I need a ricepot.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You have a smart dog: they presented evidence on how he'd had three of his dogs put down when he'd moved from the country to the city because he didn't want to walk them. and he acted like a mysoginist bastid in the process of the testimony. and the body was found in the well, but the jury was already deliberating so they couldn't tell them about it. the fucker was convicted.

What happend in the first few minutes that made it so they couldn't admit the blood in the rental car?

Wait, do I have to stop sending the slightly-porny ~ma to Tomash now? What's our policy on this?
