Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
TV from 8-10pm used to be milder, on purpose, when we were children, out of an understanding that the potential audience was of all ages.
I remember Family Viewing Hour. Though I can't remember if it was declared unconstitutional, or disappeared during Reagan-era deregulation.
Me, I'm perfectly willing to regulate indecency. As long as I get to define the term.
Once I can get them to notice me (sometimes quite an ordeal), they are always very nice to me. I usually look like I NEED make-up, so that presents an "exciting" challenge. I don't like a lot of the department store make-up buying process as I hate being sold so hard, even though I know it's their job.

I suspect it is. The MAC counter people in Seattle are very friendly. This, of course, just increases my urge to import you to Seattle.
Hairdressers are always lovely to me, though.
I think Seattle is my kinda place, actually.

They ARE. It was an emergency situation: Best friend from college getting married. I didn't have the proper blush, nor handbag. We were running short on time, so one tested the blushes on me and another went to the handbag department to select some evening bags from which I could choose. If I'm not memfaulting, it was at The Bon Marche. *sigh* I need to go back for a visit.
Jilli, you're just shameless. I was going to post that when I'd only seen this: In Seattle, they'd be tripping over their feet to help you.
Never mind the rest of the conversation.
