The MAC counter people in Seattle are very friendly.
They ARE. It was an emergency situation: Best friend from college getting married. I didn't have the proper blush, nor handbag. We were running short on time, so one tested the blushes on me and another went to the handbag department to select some evening bags from which I could choose. If I'm not memfaulting, it was at The Bon Marche. *sigh* I need to go back for a visit.
Jilli, you're just shameless. I was going to post that when I'd only seen this: In Seattle, they'd be tripping over their feet to help you.
Never mind the rest of the conversation.

ita, you're on the list of People to Import. And not just because Pete wants to have you nearby for when he needs an art model.
Jilli, you're just shameless.
What, just because I want everyone to live near me?
See, I think anyone would be tripping over his or her feet to help Jilli. Me, nsm.
Oops. Not because Jilli looks like she needs makeup help, but because she'd be fun to wait on.
Maybe it's just an LA thing, Jilli.
Nope. In the Land Of The Polite, the MAC chicks downtown are feckin' rude.
The uptown ones that are in their own store, however? Lovely and beloved by the theater folk. I need to go there for some concealer, actually.

What? It worked for ita....
Actually, I don't think I'd like living in Seattle. Too laid-back. Visiting often, now, that I could cope with.

I can't be exported! I just got here.
As for the model thing -- I'd be flattered anytime.

Must. win. Lotto. Then I could have a giant manor house, have all my friends move in, AND have guest rooms for those who just want to visit.
I very much like living in LA, but I also want MUCH MORE MONEY, so I can fly up to Seattle whenever I want (or fly out to the Midwest, NYC, Boston, or DC, for that matter).
I'm very cross that the world continues to not give in to my demands on this matter.
