What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

God, now I am terrified that I am being passive aggressive all over Natter.

You SO are not! It's just, the thought hadn't occurred to me, and now it has. So, I'm in planning mode :)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cindy, I don't have one--I make my pancakes in a large cast-iron skillet that belonged to my grandmother. But my dad used one to death when I was a kid. It made good 'cakes.

Also, this makes our breakfast of raspberries, bananas and bread & butter seem just...sad.

Cindy, my mom has an electric griddle and loves it. I have my Pampered Chef regular griddle and also love it. Although, I really think the electric griddle makes better pancakes...either that or my mom does, which is quite possible.

I had Somervillains over for brunch a few weeks back. People were very nice and ate my burnt pancakes and told me they were very good.

Happy St. David's Day!

This article quotes a professor I had at Ball State. I took that Celtic History class and loved it. Gotta love the Welsh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

this makes our breakfast of raspberries, bananas and bread & butter seem just...sad.

I'm eating old cold tortellini, so don't worry about sad. I've got that covered.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Mmmm. Pancakes.

Is it really bad form to go kill my coworker while she's out on leave? I just heard from my student who isn't here this morning that coworker told her she doesn't have to work the morning shift anymore if she doesn't feel like waking up. Coworker neither breathed a word of this to me (the supervisor of the student workers) nor did anything at all to find a replacement for this shift.

Nora, are you all over your bug? How about Tom?

we are sputtering at the end of it. Hey, does anyone know what the various colors of mucus means? Like, does green mucus indicate infection?

At this point I'd almost be relieved at infection, because I could take magic pills and make it go away. I'm no antibiotic fan, but I am so weary of being sick.

Vw, you are so awesome.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Nora, green may indicate a virus. I have no color code. Sorry. I hope it finally goes away.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Thick, greenish mucus usually indicates a secondary bacterial infection. Hie thee to a doctor and get some antibiotics. Get better!

adds "call doctor" to to-do list.
