What is even happening?

I didn't think Penelope's butt bow was problematic. It echoed an old form of bustles (I don't know my clothing eras), that I like. In general, I think butt bows are evil, but I thought it worked okay on her. Like Cate, Penelope is another person I wouldn't have put in yellow because of her coloring, but I think it looked great on her. I have a hard time with yellows, so I tend to always say NO, but they can be so appealing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I didn't think Penelope's butt bow was problematic.

Oh, it so was. First, she has no butt to hold it up. Second, it looked like it had been clipped on at the last second with a safety pin. Third, it was a butt bow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I agree with Kat's assessment -- the dress's cut did nothing for Penelope. Her curves were missing well before she had to stand next to Miss Hayek.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Based on photos in this morning's papers, I am noticing a big trend towards the topless dress. What is that all about? Even on the flat, they were not flattering, and all I could do was look at a photo of Virginia Madsen and think cleavage sweat. Pretty color dress, but, cleavage sweat.

Also, dresses that go all the way to the floor, and sometimes drag. (Above and beyond this trend was Gwyneth Paltrow, who was wearing curtain flounces like somebody had pinned the excess fabric to her pantyhose, or something.) Has Hollywood finally twigged to the fact that 3-inch stiletto sandals make feet look like chicken claws?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, it so was. First, she has no butt to hold it up. Second, it looked like it had been clipped on at the last second with a safety pin. Third, it was a butt bow.

It was just so randomly hanging there, like it was something adhesive that she accidentally leaned against and hadn't noticed it was there.

Totally agree with Jessica. the bow itself was so poorly attached, or looked so loosely attached that it appeared as if a strong gust of wind would send it flying.

Penelope is not as curvy as Salma, but she does have curves. And she needs to use them.

If I only had a brain...

The butt bow was about a foot south of the butt.

If this is the one I'm thinking of, it was a below-butt-bow, right?

I'd think it would need to be detatchable, if she wanted to sit....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just got an email that classes are cancelled tonight. Huh. Of course, I don't have class, but still. How big a storm are we expecting??

Detachable is fine. Looking like it was attached with scotch double sided tape? Bad.
