Hahahah. No pinching.

Yeah, I wish. It's a FORM. And I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to fill out. I'm sitting here thinking, yep. I did that and that and that. Didn't mess up. What more do you want? You want me to grade my time management skills? Oh no, no you don't.

If I only had a brain...

I want ita to host. She can krav Beyonce.

Note to Barbra Streisand: You're more than old enough to BRING YOUR FRICKING GLASSES. And if you won't, don't bitch at Dustin for stealing the envelope.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh, Joan Collins. Poor poor you. The big 80s hair, the banana clip in the back, the bad frosting?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is it just me, or is this the single worst photograph of Michael Jackson ever published? [link]

Or if you go to msnbc's front page, you can currently see a closeup of his face, which makes it scarier....

If I only had a brain...

inspired by ita's body, I just went to make a photocopy of my shoulder stretches so I could leave one at work.

The copier jammed. While trying to slide out the paper drawer, I overbalanced and fell straight back on my ass. In the process, I threw out my left arm to catch myself -- this would be the one with the bad shoulder joint.

From now on, I'm sticking to the horizontal cupcake eating.

Up with the sun

My body says "lie down a little longer, then lie down some more. Maybe some internet. THEN cupcakes."

Mine too. You know the ?Oscar Wilde? line about how "Sometimes I feel the urge to exercise, but I lie down until it passes"? That's me.

Which, sadly, shows, so I need to fight it. Sigh.

Hivemind question: What kind of work ethic should I expect from an intern? I know she's not getting paid, and she doesn't have a car so getting out here is a little chancy (though not THAT bad). But am I asking too much to expect her to call in the morning if she won't get in? She's also already taken three sick days, and she only started six weeks ago, and only works three times a week, for five hours each day. And that's not counting the days she's left early...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it just me, or is this the single worst photograph of Michael Jackson ever published?

It's just you.

Sadly, that's part and parcel of being inspired by my body.

Sorry.

If I only had a brain...

Point out to the intern that the reason for an internship is to build work experience and references, and if she isn't there, she isn't building either.

If I only had a brain...

I think I'll go be inspired by Michael Moore's body instead.
