Mostly lurking...

Oh, my! I missed all the fun by going to bed early. Thank goodness I had 512 posts to catch up on all the important stuff when I woke up!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies!

We may get a foot of snow tonight. I am so over snow you wouldn't believe it. The fluffy white magic has all gone away for me. sobs

What is even happening?

The funniest thing about catching up with award show watch & posts? Posts like this: ita "Natter 33 1/3" Feb 27, 2005 7:13:20 pm PST? Almost completely nonsensical, but not entirely. The no-boobies link still takes you to the same photo (or at least one that fits the description), but unless Spike Lee was wearing ruffles I can't see, and recently underwent gender reassignment surgery, unless Scarlett Johansson is a boy, and unless Beyonce has become a doppleganger for Renee, it's pretty dada.

There were something like 533 posts between the last time I loaded the board last night, and this morning. It was a busy night, huh?

What was the what with Sean Penn? I fell asleep, and the comments are intriguing, but not revealy enough.

That's nice to know about SMG, Hec. I think I've read Green make a couple of very nice comments about her, before. I try not to let myself buy into Buffy set back-stabbing. Except for ASH, they were all of a particular age, and they worked long hours for a lot of years--the years that were going to make or break their careers.

move out and draw fire

Timelies! I'll take your snow, Theodosia, and trade you my overcast, half-rain, half-wind.

So, guess the Oscars were on, huh?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We're supposed to get something like 10 inches of snow here today, but so far, nothing.

Same here, Hil. Now off to work. Also, excited to see vw's paper up in Press - can't wait to read tonight, and congrats on completion!

Actually, we are starting spring here - mid-60s, some gorgeous sunny days - but that means a lot of gloomy rainy days and allergies. I kind of miss the snow.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I kind of miss the snow.

It's started.

Swouncing

t Skipping hunderds of posts When I logged in this morning, and saw the huge number of posts that accumulated since I last skipped (I am very strict about doing my skipping every morning, no matter how much time I'm (not) going to have to goof off during the following day), I thought at first that something happened. Of course, I completely forgot about the Oscars, and I'm very thankful for the Buffistas for providing me with a lovely snarky skimmage.

I've only seen "Neverland", pretty much, and I loved it and it made me cry (not even in the sense of "eyes full of tears" but in the "tears all over my cheeks" sort of sense). I didn't care it used nearly every cliche there is regarding its topics - there's a reason cliches became cliches, and for me the movie touched something that's beyond the "been there, said that", as evident from the tears, I suppose. And that's the one movie-related thing I can say, so my humble contribution to the former-topic.

vw, thanks for posting your paper! It's downloaded and will definitely be read, once I can actually read something and not skim over it wishing I could sink in deeper. And lots of wishes for the continuation of the project.

As for the weather, it's absolutely gorgeous outside. Whenever I have to go to another building or run an errand, I'm kicking myself for not being able to take my computer off the wall that has the electricity on it and just go work outside. All of you with the unwelcome-snow and the rain are definitely invited.

[Edited to pretend I can spell]
