Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I'm sorta the same, Lilty.

In all the Chris Rock stuff I've been reading and seeing, he continual entertains and intrigues.

Did anybody screen this monologue?

CBS. Then they laughed maniacally.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not feeling the Rock love. So far, it's a decent stand up routine, but I don't get a hostly vibe off of him.

Also, he should stop fucking whining about the "they" that makes crap black movies and do something about it. I hope Melvin Van Peebles decks him in the parking lot.

Ooh. Okay, I was about to be all, "hey, that dress isn't so bad, asymmetrical dresses are hard..." and then I got a better look. Um, no.

Wait, the art director nominees have to stand there and smile until they're kicked off the island? Harsh.

Well, this asymmeticral dress looks better on her than the last one.

Adore Chris Rock.

Mostly lurking...

Is this a new thing? Having the nominees stand on the stage?

Yes. He said he wasn't viewing this as 'The Oscars" but as an opportunity to do a TV show.
