The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee, I have to say I vote for hardwood floors before wood beam ceilings. Because you get to walk on them.

I think so too, ita. I emailed the contact person for the last apartment I linked to.

I respect the publisher's right to use protection, but I think they should be clearly labelled, so I have the right to know before buying.

Totally with you. I still feel like I've been kind of bamboozled.

But in the past couple days I've gotten two more CDs, so it's no longer burning away at me. And I've heard a rumor that maybe Macs can see through the copy protection, so I'm gonna see if someone's willing to try it for me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, OK, Plei. And I guess I am the person who went out the other night to buy chips because I ran out of carrots before I ran out of dip...

Why are so many LA apartments carpeted? I always though of carpeting as a cold-weather thing.

I think of carpeting as a new-building, more suburban thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, it's evil, and must be stopped.

So I've got a question. Do other people find Tilda Swinton androgynous? Cause I sure don't.

Not sure why the suburban part is in there, because I had wall-to-wall in DC.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think she is. I mean, she looks more feminine than masculine, but there's some androgyneity there....

I have a plan.

Morning all.

No, I don't. And that's even after having seen Orlando.

Speaking of androgyny, I watched the season finale of Young Americans last night. Boone from LOST! Logan from Gilmore Girls! Orlando Bloom's ex! And, where the androgyny came in, the chick from The L Word was a cool guy.

There are two ways to consider androgyny, I guess -- possessing no distinguishing sexual characteristics, or possessing the characteristics of both genders. Tilda's kind of on the "none" side, I think -- she's not mannish, but she's missing feminine softness in her face. While I'd never mistake her for a man, I think she could pass as a boy, when young enough.

Mostly I think she's just funny looking.
